Here’s my travel video from my trip to Austin! You have to watch it past the credits for the bloopers. It’s my favorite part. I also loved giving a country makeover to my friend Greg. What a fun city!

I’m leaving for Texas in the morning! I can’t wait! Of course I’ll be making a video, and I found these songs when I was looking for the perfect song to use for the Austin video. I think they’re great for any Texas road trip…. Anyone have any additions?
Loretta Lynn — You’re Lookin’ At Country
Lady Antebellum — Perfect Day
Shania Twain — I Feel Like A Woman
Carrie Underwood — Young and Beautiful
Lyle Lovett — That’s Right (You’re Not From Texas)
Zac Brown Band — Goodbye In Her Eyes
Joohnny Cash — In My Life
Josh Abbott Band — Road Trippin
Zac Brown Band — The Wind
Charlie Worsham — Could It Be You
And then there’s this… or any song by the Oak Ridge Boys…
The Oak Ridge Boys — Amazing Grace
Not that I’m saying some verses are better than others, but here are a few of my favorites..
And last, but definitely not least, the one that everyone who has ever gone to church camp probably had to memorize. It pretty much sums up the salvation message. We’re all sinners. Jesus paid for our sins. If we accept that free gift, we have salvation. So simple!
I have plenty of other favorites, so I’m sure this will be a two-parter. I hope you’ll share your favorites with me too!
I mentioned in my last post about the really cool mod clothing store where I couldn’t buy anything because I had already purchased too much. Here are a few of my favorites…
Anthropology Skirt- $10
Plaid Old Navy Shirt- $5
I have to admit, I wasn’t 100% sold on the skirt, until I found out that it was from Anthropology. Have you been to that store?? It is my absolute favorite place, but I can’t afford anything there. I first discovered Anthropology in the Chelsea Market and I’ve been dying for something from that place ever since.
Columbia shirt- $12
That’s normally more than I would pay for a shirt, but Columbia fishing shirts are pretty popular in Florida. I’ve been looking for one for a long time and you never find them in thrifties down here.
Brand new Tommy Hilfiger Bermuda Shorts- $5
These are nothing exciting, style-wise, but they are perfect for work. They were actually $10, but this particular thrift store was having a half-off sale and I needed some new work clothes.
Priceless V8 Sweater- $6
We also got this for half price. It was just so ridiculous, she couldn’t pass on it.
$75 pants from The Limited outlet store- $17
I know this isn’t technically a thrift store find, but they were such a great deal that I had to include them. The outlet store was having a 30% off sale AND these were already on the sale rack. So, just a re-cap, that’s 30% off jeans that were on the sale rack and already discounted by the outlet store. How ’bout them apples. I also got a few other shirts, but no pictures of those, unfortunately. I did so much shopping that week, but it was hard to pass these things up!
I ALWAYS make sure I have my iPod loaded with plenty of good songs before I go on a trip, it really helps pass the traveling time. Here is a list of some of my current favorites. One of these will be used on my next video. Guess which one!
10. Imagine Dragons: Radioactive
